Gordano Sharks encouraging season came to a halt at the Graveyard today after an impressive display of power rugby by local rivals Nailsea & Backwell.
The Sharks brand of running and passing rugby was unable to function against a fired up Ravens team where aggressive defence and strong running ball carriers is an incredibly effective weapon.
The visitors ran in 11 tries with Ryan Barrow and Harrison Gould particularly dangerous every time they got the ball.
Gordano to their credit tackled and competed well until the last quarter when they ran out of steam. Man of the Match for Gordano goes to Sam Hodge who never stopped chopping the opposition down and was a constant prescence at the breakdown.
The Sharks need to learn from the experience and continue to work hard at their attractive brand of rugby but also to improve the physical side of their game.
