Gordano lost away to third in the league by a last minute converted try but not before Gordano giving the hosts the scare of their lives. Chew started very quickly and playing down the hill in the first half they ran in 3 converted trys before gordano had time to get their hands on the ball. Once gordano did get hold of the ball they made inroads into the chew defence and Jack Thomas once again found the gap to get a try for gordano. Chew reacted to this and again where on the score sheet with an other Converted try 28-5 to the home side. Gordano finished the half strongly and Jack Thomas again showed his quality and finished a great team try. 28-10 half time.
The second half started with gordano running rampant down the hill and dominated possession and once they got into the red zone they game away with points. First up was prop harry ashwin who supported well and was rewarded with a good try and then his propping partner kay softly. Gordano weren't happy with just picking up bonus point and went on the hunt for the win and it was powerhouse second row Royce Chiddle who crashed over for gordano to take the lead with 7mins left on the game. With the light fading fast and time running out the home team stepped up a could of gears and it was their pacey full back that cut his way threw the line to score the winning try. Final score 35-31
This was a well deserved 2 bonus points for gordano who came back fantasticly to even get close to chew valley who were a very good side. Next week gordano will be hoping to get a home win when they entertain chipping sodbury, 2.30 ko.
