After an uncertain morning as to whether the treacherous weather would allow the match to go ahead against Ivel Barbarians at their home ground in Yeovil, the Piranah's took to the pitch!
Through heavy rain, hail and knee deep in mud the Piranah's took control of the first half with first try of the match set up by Tash Bradley scored by Captain and Scrum Half Caroline Goddard. Ivel then equalised with their first try of the game, making the Piranah's more determined and after two disallowed try's by Man of the Match Marie Craig and Gemma Buchaly, the two Centres came back and following an attempt to score Clare Mclaren popped the ball to Gemma Buchaly allowing her to score the Piranah's second try of the match!
The Piranah's forward pack was as strong as ever and with their two new players Emma White & Emma Hall who added skill, team spirit and strength to the already dynamic pack they were all over the Barbarians. However Ivel slipped through and scored their second try leaving the first half at 12-10 to the Piranah's!
The second half became harder for the Piranahs after 2 players had to come off due to injuries, however the Piranah's kept their heads and determination but with numbers so low and conditions so bad Ivel took advantage and scored a further 3 try's and conversions leaving the score a very wet and muddy 31-12
