Piranhas V Old Bristolians - 18th September 16

The Gordano ladies Rugby team, AKA The 'Piranhas' convincingly outperformed The Old Bristolians on Sunday 18th September, resulting in a 39-0 away victory. The team; led by Captain, Elle Chandler, played good old fashioned rugby by attacking at pace; using the breadth of the pitch, running great lines, fantastic ball handling, whilst pushing up on defence and stifling the opposition. The Old Bristolians created lots of opportunity however thankfully were unable to score a try. There were a number of try scorers Elle Clarke, Sarah Gill, Kim Harris and Lucia Gaetani. Special recognition goes to Sarah Gill who furthered our lead by scoring on the conversions. This promised to be a good start to the season, as we start afresh as we mean to go on. Well done to forward of the match Ginny Troughton and back of the match Elle Chandler.
