Gordano travelled to bottom of the table Keynsham, with Sam Hodge making his senior debut at fullback.

Keynsham found themselves 3 nil up in the first five minutes after Gordano giving a penalty away in their own 22. Gordano were playing the better rugby but struggled with the set piece, Gordano then managed to take the lead as Ben Wilson supported the break down and found himself powering over in the corner. Gordano were stringing together some nice phases of play, but too many times in the first half Gordano would fail to secure a ruck with Keynsham turning them over. Also on any other day Gordano could have gone into the half time break with a healthy lead, if it wasn't for so many handling errors, won't name names as there were too many to mention. Gordano who with the wind behind them kept Keynsham in their 22 and got a penalty, which Sam Hodge slotted over.

Half-time Keynsham III 3 - 8 Gordano II

Keynsham started well and brought the scores level, after the restart Gordano were beginning to clear and secure ruck ball which enabled Gordano to build a platform and within four minutes of Keynsham bringing the scores level Mike Dyer darted through the gap and passed to Sam Hodge who with a turn of pace went into the corner for his first senior try on his debut to regain the lead. Although the rucking and support was better this half, again handling errors kept cropping up and the ball being passed forward was a regular occurrence. Keynsham then managed to camp in the Gordano 22 and sustain real pressure as the Keynsham scrum dominated from 5 metres out Gordano were lucky not to give a penalty try away, after Gordano worked hard for 10 minutes to keep Keynsham out they then conceded a penalty which Keynsham opted for the scrum and this time successfully drove the scrum forwards and over the line to bring the scores level. It was also at this point that Keynsham for the first 20 minutes of the second half had been playing with 14 men and managed to find a recruit in the vets game on the other pitch to bring them back to 15 players. Gordano began to apply pressure on Keynsham, only to find a Keynsham player in a blue scrum cap, tackle everything and save Keynsham on numerous occasions. The ball was kicked loose in a ruck and came out Gordano's side only for a cheeky flick under the legs from John which found Phil Hodder who twisted and turned to give Gordano the lead again with 8 minutes to go. Keynsham battled their way down the pitch and with Keynsham set piece being dominant created a maul which went over in the corner to tie the game with the conversion being the last play of the game missed.

The result gave North Somerset 2 it's first draw in the league this season, and was a fair result. On another day Gordano could have put and 20 - 30 points, on Keynsham had players caught the ball or choose the better option like passing to the man out wide. Notable performances, came from Jack Thomas, Sam Hodge, Mike Dyer, Ben Wilson and the Keynsham player in the blue scrum cap!!!!!
