After a close game down Weston last year. Gordano found themselves against an unfamiliar Weston side, who were unbeaten in their last eight league outings and it didn't take long to see why. Gordano found themselves on the back foot and after stalwart defending at Walcot the week before numerous tackles were missed and Weston piled on the pressure and scored on numerous occasions. When Gordano did have possession Phil Hodder and Ashley Cottrell caused the visitors problems but sometimes choose the wrong option or would find themselves isolated. Credit to Weston who at times played some superb rugby that Gordano couldn't live with. Dasos Mitsis was called into the centre at half-time and Scott O'Callaghan went into the back row after being absent from a knee injury early on in the season
Tom Harris after being on holiday found himself in sin bin after hand bags with the Weston back row who was also binned for his antics. On the whole Weston looked like a side that trained and played together, something that has been missing this season in the second team. And if Weston can keep that side together I am sure will be strong contenders for promotion next season.
Ashley Cottrell was awarded man of the match and gimp of the game was not the captain for once and went to Tom Harris for his yellow card. Gordano play local rivals Nailsea 2nds next away.
