Match Report by Adam Chadwick of the U13s

The match was played at St Katherine’s school in Pill. Clevedon kicked off to Gordano to start the match. Clevedon stole the ball off Gordano and scored a try. The fly half was unlucky with the missed conversion. 5-0 to Clevedon. Gordano quickly struck back scoring a converted try. 7-5 to Gordano at half time. Gordano supported each other well and defended well.
After half time Clevedon scored a string of trys to steal the game. Gordano tried to salvage some pride at the end but Clevedon intercepted the ball and ran the length of the pitch to score another try. Gordano continued with their strong defense throughout the second half. Clevedon kept the pressure up throughout the match but Gordano lost heart at the end. Matthew Wilkinson(c) and Tom Stirzaker played especially well.
