Gordano U13s v St Brendans

A below par performance from Sharks and an on form performance from St Brendan’s could only end with one outcome. The dominant St Brendan’s team were soon on the score sheet through their strong running centre, who proceeded to dominate the game, scoring several tries. However, this was not just an individual performance. St Brendan’s were sharper in attack, defended resolutely and were to the fore in the contact area, most especially in the first half.

All 22 of the Gordano team played well in patches, but unfortunately those patches were sporadic and did not overlap. The boys stuck with it remarkably well and managed to score a well worked try from strong running Macauley Chesson.

As with most teams at this age, occasional under par performances are to be expected. Sharks are still a young team with a considerable number of players new to rugby and/or the club. Attendance at training on the following Tuesday and the effort and enthusiasm demonstrated a great deal of character and positive attitudes which will serve well in the future
