The opening minutes saw the home team apply sustained pressure that was rewarded with a converted try. Superior rucking and mauling by them continued the hosts early dominance and led to a 14 nil score after 10 minutes.
Sharks fought back as a team of 14. After sustained phases of play Golding crossed the line to pull a try (conv Southey) back. A Barr break out (conv Southey) brought the score to 14 all,
In response North Petherton struck with a series of forward led attacks culminating in a converted try in the corner. This was followed by their fourth score, created from turnover ball at a Sharks scrum, which took the score at halftime to 28-14.
The second half started with the hosts scoring in the corner after a well worked series of passes. At 33-14 a strong attacking run from Barr created an Ando try (conv Southey) which cut the home sides lead back to 12 points. North Petherton again asserted their disciplined dominance in the rucks and mauls to take the score to 38-21. Ando crossed for his second try (conv Southey) before another forward led score pushed the hosts ahead by 15 points.
In the final 5 minutes North Pemberton's backs combined well to create three further tries At 60- 28 the final whistle blew on a well fought battle.
