Gordano Sharks U14 vs Southmead U14
The October Graveyard visit of Southmead U14 was expected to provide a test for the Sharks. After a nervy start tries by Barr and Ando settled the hosts in a first half where both sides struggled with a slippery ball. An injury to Eichenberger, broken collar bone, reduced the Gordano numbers but a team effort produced a further Ando try (conv Barr) to take the score. to 17 nil. A Sefton try finished the half to leave a 22 point lead to the Sharks.
A Gough try (conv Barr) opened the second half for the Sharks. Spirited defence by both teams stemmed the scoring until Southmead scored their first try of the day to bring the score to 29-5. The Mead pressured for a second in the Sharks 22 but a Barr (conv Barr) run out scored his second of the day just eluding The Mead number 15. Another fight back scored Southmeads second to leave the score at 36-10. Third Barr and Ando tries finished a well won 48-10 victory.
