Match Report by Hooker Jack Pope

To finish the best ever tour by this team, Sharks U15s travelled to Paignton last Sunday. The game got of to a great start for the sharks with some lovley back play we managed to turn our possesion into 5 points with a try by Sam Ashbee. Then thanks to a great conversion kick we had a 7-0 advantage. Shortly after Sam Fear made a great run through the opposing defence to grab our second try of the game which was again converted into 7 points by Lew Leaker giving us a 14-0 lead. However despite great tackling from backs Paington managed to get through our defence line scoring a try which was then converted bringing the sharks lead back down to 7.

Not to be beaten though after some lovely play from Sam Ashbee and Louis Wall set Finn Murphy up for his first try of the match which was converted by Hodgey taking lead back up to 14 and the score to 21-7. After some fantastic rucking by the sharks Flankers of Samuel Hodge and Connor Fairclough we stole the ball from Paignton which lead to Shay Ford scoring a try bring the score to 26-7. Paignton though remanded undeterred and scored two tries bringing the score to 26-19.

The sharks hit back quickly however thanks to Alex Reynolds great kick off catches we where able to get the ball moving and some brilliant support play by skipper Charlie Geary led him to getting his first try of the season, converted by Lew. Not wanting to give up Paignton managed to sneak another try in which was then converted to bring the score to 33-26. But after some brilliant forward tackling and rucking by Harry Prunell, Eddie Tovey, Zach Wall and Curtis Southey we won the ball back leading to some bueatiful passing by Lewis leaker and Harrison Williams led to another try by Sam Fear for sharks bringing the score to 40-26.

Wanting to score more though a big effort from the sharks front row of Tom Instance, Jack Pope and Harry wall lead to sharks winning the ball against the head and then thanks to some brilliant skill by Olly O' Hare, Ben Beacham & Callum Corcoran lead to Jordan Mitchell scoring a brilliant try under the posts in the last seconds making the score 47-26, with Leaker notching the extras.

The Coaches were delighted to finish off a great season in style!
