Ambition and adventure sadly not rewarded as Chard steal the win
Gordano Sharks under 15's narrowly missed out on the next round in the Somerset cup after traveling away to Chard.
The trip was a long journey but not wasted because some of the best rugby was played by all of the boy's.
After a explosive start sixteen minutes into the first half Gordano Sharks were 14-0 up with try's from Sam Fear and Harrison Williams, both being converted by Lewis Leaker.
The backs Sam Ashby, Jordan mitchell, Oliver O'Hare,Shay Ford, Lewis Leaker, Finn Murphy showed great handling and speed throughout the game.
Chard fought back to bring scores closer but Gordano Sharks always had them chasing.
Gordano Sharks remained in control with great work in the contact area outstanding rucking and tackles from Sam Hodge,Zach Wall,Harry Wall,Tom Instance,Callum Corcoran,Harry Purnell,Edd Tovey,Curtis Sothey,Alex Reynolds and Jack Pope against a very physical Chard side.
At the start of the second half an early try from man of the match Finn Murphy extended Gordano Sharks lead. Two more try's from Jordan Mitchell and Shay Ford, with Chard remaining close behind.
In the remaining minutes Chard intercepted the ball to run the lengh of the pitch to win the game,Gordano traveling fans were not dissapointed after witnessing some outstanding quick rugby played by the whole team.
