A great team performance where every player gave 100%.

Gordano travelled to the newly formed Bridgwater missing 6 players with illness and injury and so the hosts agreed to play 13 a side. With the extra space both teams attacked space and after 5 minutes a strong run from the Bridgwater fly half some him go in under the posts for a converted try 7-0. Bridgwater then scored an unconverted try following forward pressure near the line 12-0 after 12 minutes. This seemed to galvanise the Sharks players and they started to organise better in attack and defence. A late tackle on full back Leon Paul led to him leaving the field for treatment for a dead leg and Gordano played on with 12 players. From a scrum on half way the Gordano backs moved the ball left to wing Isaac Barr who used great speed and footwork to round the defence to score 15m in from touch 12-5. From a scrum on their own 5m line fly half Macie King saw space on the right and with support from Aaron Southey the ball reached Isaac who again used his pace to out-sprint the defence and go in under the posts, converted by Macie to even the scores 12-12 after 21 minutes. Another breakout started by Captain Ed Magromalis playing out of position at centre passing to fellow centre Aaron in support who timed the final pass to Macie who with flanker Ollie Heaven in support went under the posts and converted his own try 12-19. A lack of concentration at a breakdown on their own 22 by Sharks led to Bridgwater scoring in the right hand corner to finish the half only 17-19 down.

Leon returned at fly half at start of second half but a knock to Macie within a couple of minutes meant Gordano were again down to 12 players. Every player upped their game and flanker Jacob Clements and second rows Connor Adams and Finn Lynton-Jenkins were a constant thorn to Bridgwater with their work in defence. Good pressure across the defensive line meant Bridgwater threw a long pass on their own 10m line and Aaron plucked it from the air and sprinted to the posts, converted by Leon 17-26. Pressure on a Bridgwater lineout near half way led to Ollie holding a Bridgwater player up and the strength of Loosehead Brett Smith turned over the ball to release the backs with good hands allowing Aaron to once again time the final pass perfectly to Isaac to go in for his hat trick 19-31. Macie returned to the field at full back to keep the pressure on Bridgwater, and from a penalty in the middle of the opposition 22 scrum half James Hawkins spotted space on the right and went quickly beating players and passing to Brett in support to beat the final defender and go over for his first try for Gordano 15 m in from touch well converted by Leon 19-38. The best team try of the day came next with Ollie making a strong break out from his own 22 and forward and backs combining to move the ball left and then back to the right finished by Leon passing to hooker Sid Vining who was always in support in attack and Sid making the final pass to Tighthead Jayden Brown on the right wing to score his first try, 19-43. Bridgwater never dropped their heads and only strong defence by Gordano kept them out but after giving away a penalty on their own 22 a lack of concentration meant they took their collective eyes of the ball leaving Bridgwater to execute a 3 on 2 to score in the corner 22-43. Gordano moved back up the field and won a 5m scrum, ed ran a hard line to hold the defence and pace and excellent passing created space for Isaac to run in his fourth try of the day on the left with Macie hitting the post from wide out, 22-48. Great shape in attack moving the ball to the right and to the left created confusion in the defence and with players in support Macie threw a great dummy to open a gap for him to run through from the 22m line under the posts and converted by Leon to finish the game 22-55.
