2014 Tour Success

Gordano's 22 man squad of Under 16s travelled to West Bay in Dorset for another memorable tour.

After two fun days(and nights!!!) the somewhat weary parents took their charges to nearby Bridport RFC anticipating and eager for another display of running rugby by this ever improving team, they were not disappointed.

Against a large, well drilled and exciting Bridport team the game proved to be a hard fought battle with the Sharks quicker handling and pace getting the upper hand against a home side whose set piece and break down work was excellent. Their brace of tries at the end a well deserved reward for some great rugby.

Gordano's front five combinations of Curtis Southey, Jack Pope, Tom Instance, Joe Bell, Zach Wall, Callum Corcoran and Harry Purnell worked hard to compete allowing the back row flyers of Sam Hodge, Louis Wall and Connor fairclogh freedom to disrupt and link with the outside backs of Ben Beacham, Sam ashbee, Jordan Mitchell, Ollie O'Hare, Harrison Tops and Shay Ford.

Scores came from the hard and elusive running of Centres Finn Murphy(2) and Sam Fear. The try of the day belonging to Lewis Eaves who set it up and finished a fantastic move from inside his own 22. The relaible boot of Lewis Leaker adding all four conversions.

Man of the match goes to Second Row Eddie Tovey whose work rate in both defence and attack was exemplary.
