The rugby equivalent of Dickens' 'Tale of Two Cities'

This was a well-contested match between two teams of totally contrasting styles.

North Petherton are a big team who use their hefty forwards well in bashing up the middle of the paddock time and time again.
In contrast, the smaller but more mobile Gordano Sharks want to move the ball wide at every opportunity, whilst trusting their team mates to be in support at all times.

The game was played at The Graveyard and started at a cracking pace as Connor Bissell got his first try for the club coming off his wing at pace to finish a fine team move. This was quickly followed by tries for full back Shay Ford then flanker Charlie Geary. Lewis Leaker converted twice before Pethy struck back through the forwards.
Lewis Leaker scored the next try and converted to take Gordano into a 26-7 lead.

Pethy notched twice more, but The Sharks scored further tries by Zach Wall, Sam Hodge, & 'Man-of-the-Match' Harrison Topps, with Leaker adding the extras twice more for a final score of 45-19.

The scrum went well with the front 5 forwards Jack Pope, Tom Instance, Curtis Southey, Joe Bell, Callum Corcoran, Harry Purnell & Eddie Tovey winning one against the head and getting a good shove on their opponents every other time.

Louis Wall and Connor Fairclough tackled anything that moved whilst Sam Ashbee, Lewis Eaves, Finn Murphy, Olly O'Hare and Ben Beacham turned on the style with some dazzling back play.

All in all, a good result, but there are a few things to work on in training next week :-)
