Our 1s display some Bucks Fizz to win at home.

Gordano entertained stroud last Saturday on a very damp caswell Lane, looking for revenge after their last minute loss earlier in the season. Gordano kicked off and looked sharp from the start moving the ball well in tricky conditions. With the set piece giving a solid platform it was no surprise that gordano took the lead though full back Noah homes-McAdam. Stroud who had a strong breeze at their backs were able to work themselves back into the game but kicking deep and forcing the game to be played in the gordano half. Strong defence by gordano kept stroud out for long periods but with 5 minutes left of the half stroud took the lead with a converted try.

The second half started with gordano trying to repeat the stroud kicking game but to less affect as the stroud back line were looking sharp and carrying the ball well so gordano went back to there usual style of running rugby and kept the ball in hand. Gordano were putting stroud under a lot of pressure and when a ball was slapped down when gordano were about to score the ref gave a penalty try to gordano. Stroud who are 4th in Western counties showed why there are one of the top teams by coming back at gordano hard but solid defence kept stroud out and forced them to play a little wider and that's when Sam Hodge intercepted a loose pass and run 75 meters to score under the posts. With time running out stroud still went pushing for a win and got within a 7 points after they scored their second try. Gordano nearly had the bonus point though debutante wing Sam Lin, but lin's dropped the ball from a cross field kick. Final score gordano 19 stroud 12.

It was another fantastic win for gordano on a pitch with looked like a throw back to the 80s with more mud than grass.

It's a short turn around this week as gordano play away at Avonmouth on Friday night 7.30ko.
