1st XV secure their first league win in Gloucester in a hard fought game against Old Richians.

Gordano travelled to Gloucester looking for only their second win on the road and after a great start to the new year confidence was high.

With 4 changes to last week's starting line up you would of thought gordano would need time to settle in but it was the opposite as they were creating chance after chance with only the poor condition stopping gordano getting their first try. After 20 minutes gordano finally got over the win with another try for Royce Chiddle, conversion added by Noah homes-McAdam. Gordano where playing into a stiff breeze which helped the home team get some good field positions and with only minutes left of the half richians levelled the scores 7-7 ht.

Gordano started the second half with much more pace in thier game and after only 2 minutes Jack Thomas had extended the lead. Conversion again by Homes-McAdam. Richians hit back with penalty goal. Gordano still looked the stronger side and on 49 minutes the lightweight 12 Mike dyer crashed over to extend gordanos lead. Homes-McAdam again with the extras. The next 10 minutes had some confusion with a few strange decisions which took the sting out of gordanos play, the home team on the other hand raised their game and scored under the posts to close the gap to 4 points. Gordano weren't happy with just holding on for the win and went on the attack looking for the bonus point try and they were finally rewarded with a nice finish from Conner King who scored in the corner. With only a minute left the home team took a shot at goal to collect a losing bonus point. Final score 20-26.

This was a workman like performance from gordano who looked comfortable all day even though the home team fought hard.
This was Gordano's second away win but was their 19th point on the road which shows how competitive the team are both home and away.

Next week is a rest week for the first team but there is still a 2nd team game at home against wells next Saturday. 2.30ko the following week the first are at home to Stroud.
