Both teams have had a good start to the new year but with both teams level on points at the start of the day the result would have a big say on thier league positions.
Gordano started the game with a bang as they won the ball back from the kick off and went straight into attack mode. After a couple of quick phases the space opened up and Jack Thomas finished will out wide for the first score, conversion added by hodge. Old b's have been scoring lots of trys in the last few weeks so it was no surprise that they came back strong and scored, 2 unconverted trys to take the lead but it was Jack Thomas again who found the space to score his second on 25 minutes. Bristolians came back once more and scored their third try but on the last play of the half Joe roswell scored under the posts to take the lead. Ht 19-17.
The second half was a more cagey and scrappy affair with both teams cancelling each other out it was after 65 minutes when captain Tom Arnall barged his way over that Gordano saw the some light. 5 minutes later arnall was at it again after a breakaway from hodge and shortly followed by gordano's 6th try from Noah homes-McAdam. 38-17 game over.... Well no, to thier credit bristolians came back and got a valuable bonus point try and then last play of the match they got within 7 points for a second point of the afternon. Final score 38-31.
This was a very good performance from gordano scoring 6 trys fir the second week in a row and 17 in thier last 3 weeks. The results lifts gordano into the top half of Western counties North.
Next week away at old richians, 2.30 ko.
