Bonus Point & Win too far for 1s

Gordano took on unbeaten Midsomer Norton at Caswell and came away point less even though the game was in the balance until the last play of the game. Norton started the game with a a bang and score 2 try`s before Gordano could get there hands on the ball. It looked like it could be a long afternoon for for the sharks but they never let their heads drop and once they got the ball they weren't going to give it up easily. Gordano finally started to put pressure on Norton and it didn't take long until the sharks were on their line and looking for there first try of the afternoon and it came from Jack Thomas who Finished off what was a great team try. His second try was purely down to himself and Jack burst though as small came and had enough power to drive over the line to score under the post. simple 2 points for dyer to bring the game back to 12-14. Norton Finished the half strong and were camped in the Gordano 22 for the last 10 mins but stout defence kept Norton from the try line and in this period they only had 3 points to show for their efforts.
The Second half was an even contest with both teams having opportunity's to score but it was Norton who kept the score ticking over with 7 points from a try in the corner were the norton player used the slippy ground to slide in from 5 meters out. Gordano again didn't drop their heads and full back Noah Homes McAdam was on the end of anyother fine team play to bring the sharks to with in 7. With time running out both teams were hunty the bonus point 4th try and painfully for Gordano it was Norton who scored it with the last play of the game to take away any bonus points away from the home site.

It was a again a spirited performance by Gordano who are learning quickly that in this higher league you will get punished by your mistakes. In the last 2 weeks Gordano have come up against top of the league sides and have scored try`s against them and have been in the matches right up till the end which they can take great confidence from. Next week Goradno take the very short journey up to failand to play old Bristolians who have only won once this season also. 3pm Ko
