In good Friday gordano entertained Minehead in a rearranged fixture after last month's snow. With the rain flooded several parts on somerset the game got switched to the hornets artificial 3g pitch to make sure the game got played, this was a plus for gordano who where keen to play some running rugby.
The game started at a tremendous pace and gordano were the quickest out of the blocks and with only a minute played Carl Petch was over for the first try of the night. After 10 minutes Olly Slym crashed over for his first try for the club quickly followed up with Fred Young and Sam hodge grabbing the bonus point within 18 minutes. After this quick start gordano fell off their standards a little but Minehead started to find their feet and were building some phases and making gordano do some serious defencive work. Gordano kept them out and added a further a score before half time through Josh Richards, Ht 31-0.
In the second half the minehead had the ball and were playing so good rugby but were unable to breakdown the gordano defence.
Joe Roswell's last act before being replaced was to crash over another try, followed up by a quick brace from skipper Tom arnall. Minehead finally got over the line for the line to not get nilled but gordano finished up with a try from elliot handscomb to finish off a job well done by gordano. Final score 55-7.
No time to digest this game with imperial on Monday the fixtures just keep coming but the team are in good spirits and up for the challenge a head of them. Richwood construction man of the match was stuart Harris who link up play was outstanding.
