Gordano arrived at WSM with 16 to find themselves playing on the first team pitch against a much bigger squad.

Sharks opened well with a break by fullback Connor King and hooker Kody Golding put centre Isaac Barr in on the left. This was quickly followed by fly half Macie King with a solo break from half way converted by his brother to make it 0-12 to Gordano.

WSM made it 7-12 with a break from scrum on half way executed well.

Kody got the next converted again by Connor to stretch the lead to 7-19.

Sharks were running out of their own 22 when the WSM left wing stole the ball and kicked through to make it 14-19.

From the kick off WSM gathered the ball but a dominant tackle by scrum half Huw Evans on the opposition prop led to a turnover and tight head Jayden Brown was the player to finish off an offloading attack, converted by Connor 14-26 at half time.

Gordano started the second half slowly and suffered when WSM forthe first time in the match got to tackles quicker and turned over ball to make it 19-26.

Loosehead prop Morgan Stockford getting around the field more like a back rower made a decisive break from his own half and from a breakdown the backs moved the ball well to Isaac coming through at pace from 20 m out under the posts, converted by Macie.

Good hands from scrum just inside the WSM 22 saw a move call and a score from first phase with Isaac on a hard line. Converted by Connor to put Gordano clear at 19-40 with ten minutes to go.

WSM never gave up and with their big forwards making ground pulled back a try to make it 26-40.

WSM were finishing with some of their best rugby of the game, met with uncompromising defence from Sharks and with time up the ball was turned over and moved right to left on Sharks goal line and Connor made a break showing great pace down left and converting his own try to finish the game 26-47.

The entire Gordano team were outstanding but special praise must go to open side Finn Rowland who was excellent at lineouts and in the loose never allowing the WSM 10 time on the ball and making countless tackles. Will Hawkins playing in the second row also had his best game of the season making big tackles, making ground with the ball, and linking brilliantly with the backs. Every player set themselves a tough personal challenge and all were achieved showing how far the team has come.

Next game is the semi final v Minchinhampton at home on 8th April and based on this performance it should be a great game to watch.
